Why We Are Here
North Country NORML is here to promote a better understanding of the current status of laws concerning cannabis (marijuana) in the state of New York and the United States in general; the medical, legal, environmental, economic and civil libertarian argument for more reasonable treatment of cannabis in the laws of the state of New York and the United States.
Here we hope to give you a little history, current science and medical information, news in the cannabis commuinty, and any and all pertinent information in the fight to end the harmful prohibition of marijuana.
It is time, as American Citizens, that we hold our government responsible for the misuse of OUR resources for the enforcement of laws, not based in facts or real civic danger, but in bigotry, corporate greed, yellow journalism, and lies told to the U.S. Congress.
So, as we develope and bring our site on-line, we invite you inside to see some things about cannabis you may or may not know.
